I purchased this lamp for my son's nursery -- I wanted a light with a dimmer so I wouldn't wake him up too much with the middle-of-the-night feedings.Overall I've been very pleased with this product. It has a nice weight to it -- doesn't feel cheap or flimsy by any means. The lampshade itself is made of a glass-like product (maybe it is glass?), which is nice since a lot of lamps of this style that I've seen have flimsy plastic shades.
I also really like how the dimmer has a nightlight sort of feature so you can find it in the dark.
One word of caution, though -- the diameter of the lampshade at the top is quite large. If you're aiming to put this in the corner of a room, be aware that you'll have to have it farther from the wall than you might have thought. (ie, in cramped quarters near a wall, might not ideal.)
Overall, I'd recommend this product to a friend and would buy this brand again.
