In less than 2 months these things rusted.When I complained to Amazon, I was told "... the vendor and he says that these are not rust proof and the salt in the air in Florida will cause this.This is normal for outdoor non-stainless steel lighting..." HAH! I am 75 miles inland, and this trash is advertised as "weather resistant", and "outdoor" lamps.

Their solution was for me to paint the lamps.

The Detroit Symphony Orchestra is at its best here.On this album, they pay tribute to William Levi Dawson and Duke Ellington, with great, intelligent compositions and performances.The "Negro Folk Symphony" is a deep, ear-pleasing performance with great horn work and the strings sound great.However, one of my favorites is Duke Ellington's "The River Suite".I, myself have played this piece and it is just as much fun to play as it is to listen to.My personal favorite movements are "Meander", "Giggling Rapids" and "Vortex".The whole piece is extremely soulful and still well-written.A definite favorite of mine, and it segways into a great performance of another one of Ellington's greatest pieces, "Solitude".However, the real show stopper here is "Harlem", originally written for trumpeter Cootie Williams.This features William Lucas and Walter White, two of the best all-around trumpet players today.They effortlessly extend into the stratosphere and play beautifully through this challenging arrangement.As the review from the critic says, "Talk about musicians knowing their chops!"
Fans of orchestral music and big band music will enjoy this one equally.The DSO is constantly blurring the line between the two styles and this particular outing works wonderfully.It's great to hear an album like this.

The item came packed well shipping was fairly prompt for a lamp as this.
This is a cute lamp. has no seperate switch for nightlight.
I have many tiffany lamps but no Galle. I want to explain that Galle is suppose to be cameo glass and is
cut in a unique way to make the glass look three demensional. I have some vases and a bowel that is cameo glass
and it is cut deep in varying shades and depths.
The glass on this lamp is not like that. it is pretty!! but does not have the true cameo glass cut.
This lamp is made in china.
Real cameo glass is expensive though my bowl and vase were reproductions they were done by American artists
were double and triple the price of this lamp. so in essence you get what you pay for

Adesso Remote Control Torchiere, Black Review

It looks good and with two 150 watt bulbs it is BRIGHT. However, per other users, the control (especially with the remote) is annoying: do I tap once, twice, hold down the button??? Dunno. Anyhow, my remote stopped working after a year (no, not even with new batteries) so I am trying to figure out how to get a replacement - I recently e-mailed the company. The remote is useful as I keep this lamp behind my couch in the corner of the room and I do not have an easy way to get it on a switch in my apartment.

The quality of this lamp was disappointing. The bowl of the lamp is made of what looks like cheap grade plastic.The pole section of the lamp came in three or four parts.One of those parts had a defective thread, so that the section which was supposed to be screwed on top of that one would not screw in straight or even all the way.Overall, the product felt like it was too cheaply made for the price.I returned this product and received a refund.

Adesso Blaze Torchiere, Steel Review

This torchiere is very tall and fits perfectly with my decor. If your not into trendy lights, you may want to stick with a more traditional torchiere. The orange glow that illuminates from the center is very cool...three way bulb not included. The outer shade is kind of thin but the main inner shade that houses the lighting is well made. For the price it really is a bargain and may be more suitable for a dorm room...but somehow I made it fit right at home.

Adesso Domino Arc Lamp, Satin Steel Review

This item is actually available at Bed Bath & Beyond for <$100...stylish, attractive and contemporary...my biggest gripe was the mode of packing, which was the difference between 4 and 5 star review in this case.

The lamp is in 5-6 pieces which screw together pretty easily once unwrapped, all of which are secured to inner cardboard packing materials with enough packing tape to make a sadist jealous. The styrofoam breaks apart into atom sized particles, and sticks to EVERYTHING..so opening outside is highly recommended.

Iris, Table Review

Wifey has been looking all over Southern California for the *perfect* lamps for the bedroom. The lamps needed to be contemporary artistic, add some color and be tall enough for the bedroom set which is quite high. She really didn't find what she was looking for until she stumbled on the Uttermost line which had the styles she wanted. She found this style at a designer shop that had it priced almost 2X what Amazon offered it for. She ordered the lamps through Amazon and three weeks later one arrived and about a week later the second one arrived. When I called Uttermost after only one lamp arrived, the Customer Service group immediately noted that it was their error and they expedited the second lamp. Great lamps, good Customer Service, happy wife. Life doesn't get much better.

Jellyfish Green Cocoa Leaves 64" High Floor Lamp Review

I own this lamp in the table-top model, instead of the floor model.I happen to live in Kansas and bought it at the store a couple years ago.The lamp has held up very well.The shade is actually made of leaves that they've pressed (sort of like old flower pressings).The store said they trim the leaves to glue together at the edges, and not overlapped over each other.I was afraid that the leaves might start coming apart, but it has held together.I have the green version.My children like playing with the marbles (that is what is hanging down there in case you can't tell from the pictures).Makes for some fun trying to dust it... but it is a neat lamp and I like the bit of "funky" touch it gives my cottagey living room.

Lite Source Ls-9913ps Servo Polished Steel Torchiere Lamp Review

This torchiere light is quite good. The design looks beautiful, and the steel finish is well done. The included bulbs are not very bright, but can of course be replaced with higher wattage compact fluorescents.

A few negatives:
1. The dimmer switch does not feel very solid. Hopefully it will last, but it seems rather flimsy.
2. The lamp supposedly has two levels of brightness. I assumed this was achieved by only switching on either one or both of the bulbs. Instead, the current is apparently modulated at the lower light setting. The result at the dim setting are poor: Very little difference from the full bright setting, and there is a flicker at the low setting. At the high setting the light works fine.

Overall a stylish and good light for the price. Since the bulbs are compact fluorescents, the lamp is very energy efficient and emits very little heat.

The lamp is almost everything I expected.It was difficult for me to find the bulb type that went with the "reading light" extension.Also, I was hoping to be able to use a flourescent bulb in both places, but cannot.

I like the looks of the lamp.It was easy to put together and functions very well.

Kenroy Home Hayden 72 Inch Torchiere In Tobacco Brushed Steel Finish With A Cream Glass Shade Review

The lamp itself appears very nice, has substantial weight, and has a very nice finish.However, the switch is made out of cheap plastic and is not aligned very well with the metal piece it protrudes from.This makes it VERY difficult to turn off and on and I'm quite confident that in a very short amount of time it will wear out and stop working.In fact, in just a few minutes of me playing around with it, it failed to operate a couple of times.I fear that if I want an operable lamp I will have to buy one of those wireless sockets to plug it into so I can have a wall-mounted switch to turn it off and on (if you have a wall socket with a dedicated switch this would be just as useful.)And although this method will work (despite the extra money spent)it defeats the 3-way switch and bulb design completely.

So I'm happy with the lamp in general, but the switch did not appear to be designed by the same company that made the lamp.Pretty silly if you ask me, especially when you consider that the lamp will be useless if the switch fails!

BEAUTIFUL CRYSTAL DESIGN OVERHEAD SOFA LAMP IN BLACK Review

This lamp is a very nice one. There is a dimmer switch on it and it is great for mood lighting/reading, etc. HOWEVER, the glass is not at all what the picture represents. Instead of being a solid crystal-looking globe, each one is an ugly mess of clear plastic beads. I did not put these on this lamp and am looking for other options instead of them. In fact, they are so cheap looking that they are going to the garbage collector!
