This is a gorgeous lamp and a real bargain, but I was disappointed that the faux agate marble accents are MUCH darker than depicted. There's not much contrast at all between the urn/base faux marble and the rest of the stand. It's all very dark. (In my case, however, I do have a lamp in the same room with similar colors so it works.) Just be aware that there may be an extreme color variation when you order this lamp. The creamy alabaster shade is as depicted, and creates a wonderful ambient glow. The dimmer switch is a great plus, too. Overall, it gives the impression of a very expensive lamp.
